Australiens erste Oi Band kommt mit ihrer allerersten LP daher und zwar mit 22 Studioliedern von 1981 (!). Deren bisher einziges Vinyl war deren EP aus den 80ern. Mitglieder der Band gingen nach deren Auflösung zu White Noise und Skrewdriver… DAS aber nur als Randnotiz. Dies ist die Premieren-Pressung
und das nach stolzen 42 Jahren. Falls jemand die Band nicht kennt (!?), das Quartett startete bereits 1979 als Punkband und 1980/81 waren sie die ersten, die sich dem Oi! verschrieben haben. Die Jungs waren Pioniere eines Sounds, welcher dem Britischen OI der damaligen Zeit sehr nahe kam und sie erregten mediale Aufmerksamkeit aufgrund ihrer „wilden“ Konzerte mitsamt deren Gefolgschaft einschließlich Ausschreitungen... Wer auf Bands wie vor allem frühe Cockney Rejects oder auch Combat 84 steht, der sollte die QUICK AND THE DEAD LP sein Eigen nennen!

It`s already time for Christmas because you have the chance to get the real thing. QUICK AND THE DEAD‘s so-called production tape recorded 1981 NOW for the first time on vinyl! This quartet was the first Oi! band from Australia and after 42 years (!!) you can hear 22 tracks of raw and aggressive Oi. If you‘ve never heard of this band, they started as a punk band in 1979 and were the first that played Oi in 1980/81. These guys pioneered a sound closely realated to British Oi at that time. These guys attracted media attention resulting from their „boisterous“ shows as well as the behaviour of their fans, violence included… If you like early Cockney Rejects or Combat 84 then you have to listen to QUICK AND THE DEAD and grab a copy.
